I recommend to update the file structure on disk as you need to show in the tree
Root SiteA NewFile.schIn the title column just enter simple titles.
You can also set Title = Root\SiteA\Option1 but it’s not clear when not reflects file structure.

DB export module executes only 1 request per operation. If you need to execute many requests, wrap them by stored procedure on the DB side.
The described behavior is programmed. Probably, it should be configurable in the communication layer properties.
After a polling session is finished, Communicator sends data to the Server app. It sends data device by device. Usually it sends only modified data (it depends on the configuration). So when you split devices, it sends data correctly.
However, the limit of 2810 signals should not be the maximum. I expect that the max. is 4680 according to the binary protocol between Communicator and Server.
Could you check if there are any errors in Communicator and Server log files?For Modbus salve in Linux VM, you will need to change port number to larger than 1024, e.g. 1502.
