This checkbox works for command triggers only.
The feature of inserting dynamic text is not supported by Auto control module for now. It is in the plans.

The specified feature will be possible when the module can send command via output channels. In this case using a formula you could generate any text.

As for me, at my previous work I switched from .NET to Java EE. The ideas and approached of these platforms are more similar than different. For now, development moves to client programming, I mean HTML, JavaScript and CSS, those are vendor independent, and this trend makes me happy ))

If I understand you correctly, you need Rapid SCADA works as slave and your RTU as master. This mode is not supported for now, unfortunately.

You should use another architecture of your system. As an option, you can use DBMS for integration or request your device by Rapid SCADA and by RTU in parallel.

Thank you for the useful research.
The approach of using binary data format has several advantages:
– It is optimized and can be improved to provide very fast access.
– Doesn’t depend in 3rd party software => easy to install and backup

So, I have no plans of moving to RDBMS.

Or improve performance/method access to .DAT files…

I agree. This work is permanent. For example, the new web app has modern cache to allow multiple users access data faster.

30-days 10-chnnels chart contains 24*60*30*10 = 432000 points. It is not a few.
May be the bottle neck is drawing these points.

Could you generate similar Excel report and compare the duration?
It would be interesting to compare with other JavaScript charts such as http://www.highcharts.com in conjunction with MySQL or PostgreSQL (like here).

If you could continue the research, it would be wonderfull 🙂
