The described features would be quite useful, definitely. Many of them are contained in our back log. General direction of improvements is making scheme editing faster.
Some features are already exist, at least partially:

Thank you for the information how the issue was solved.
You should clear the browser cache after updating Rapid SCADA to a new version.
To do that, open the web app and press Ctrl+F5 or Shift+F5 (depending on browser).Looks like the Agent service is not working.
Check C:\SCADA\ScadaAgent\Log\ScadaAgent.log
Restart the PC to start the service.Hello,
