Data format was not changed during the version 5.x.x.x. So you can access the previous data.
The Editor opens the default browser. If you change the default browser in the OS, it will open another browser. Also you can copy the address from the IE address bar and paste it in Chrome.

Try open a scheme and press Ctrl+F5 on problem computers. Also try another browser that is not used before with the old version of the web app.Also see
