In general, you are on the right way.
“Not available” status is OK. That means that the Webstation app does not support providing status.
After restart, some time is needed to be able to login.
If after 10 seconds you can’t login, check the Webstation log in the Administrator app for errors.

Agree with that. @kumajaya runs ScadaAdmin on Linux using Wine.

I think, the above idea with MQTT is the best.
Also it’s possible to connect to Agents and get instance statuses. Agent can establish reverse connection with the main Agent that provides single point to get data.
