    Hi, I am trying to use Rapid SCADA V6,
    I confirm that I have installed it exactly according to the steps of this manual,

    https://drive.google.com/file/d/1UKtnVXfUqx0yaLP6yDJabRb-N3JPpuOA/view?usp=share_link

    But after running, once I uploaded the project, there is always such a prompt when I log in for the first time

    https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tKqB4epVIkIoed-pDh4uKBsP7RAgbTR2/view?usp=share_link

    And in the administrator, Webstation is not avalible, I click start/stop/restart, it will have a successful prompt, but it still doesn’t work

    https://drive.google.com/file/d/1xrFeeMrgbrZ0P9vxp78vEK8ulz_xr3-0/view?usp=share_link

    Is there a step I’m missing? thank you for your help!

    Hi,
    In general, you are on the right way.
    “Not available” status is OK. That means that the Webstation app does not support providing status.
    After restart, some time is needed to be able to login.
    If after 10 seconds you can’t login, check the Webstation log in the Administrator app for errors.

    Hello Mikhail

    I believe the reason for my error message is exactly what your analysis turned out to be.
    But there is a difference, it is not 10s, but a long time, I have observed many times.
    If I don’t refresh the page, it will always have this error message, until I refresh the page again, I can see Webstation 6.0.0.0 started from the log.

    It doesn’t seem very friendly, if I always need to manually refresh once after uploading.

    Is my case a special case?

    From the log below you can see
    From 2022-11-18 16:48:13 I manually re-refreshed the page, Webstation started to start

    Hello,

    2022-11-18 16:48:13 [SCADA6][SCADA6$][ACT] Webstation 6.0.0.0 started
    ...
    2022-11-18 16:48:18 [SCADA6][SCADA6$][INF] The application is ready for operating

    It takes 5 seconds, which is good. The web app is started when a request is initiated by a browser, so you need to click the refresh button after uploading configuration.
    This behavior is on Windows. Linux web service does not need user action.

    sorry, I want to say here is that when the project is uploaded, it keeps stopping.
    It’s been 2 minutes and it still won’t start the Webstation

    Webstation can only be started if the page is manually refreshed. 16:48:13
    Is it possible to add automatic start of Webstation after the upload? Instead of refreshing it manually after each update, obviously manual refreshing is not user-friendly

    If a Windows user already logged in and watch an opened scheme, the web app will start because of web page activity.

    If no one watch web pages, the web app will not start on Windows.
    You can add extra script into SCADA\ScadaWeb\svc_start.bat to make a web request bu adding curl http://localhost:10080

    Sorry to bring this up again because it’s a little different.

    This error message still appears when RapidSCADA is running, not after re-uploading the project. According to the logs, if no one is using it (this is my guess, because it’s just my personal test) Webstation is stopped after 30 minutes
    It’s like a PC that goes into sleep mode over time if no one is using it. why?

    That’s true. This is how IIS works by default.
    Open IIS management console, find application pool ScadaAppPool advanced options, and try to find a parameter to always run.
    Let us know about the result, please.

    Yes, when set up according to your method, it works perfectly, thank you very much

    What parameter we need to change in the app pool options?

    I changed 3 parameters:

    Ceneral->Start Mode: AlwaysRunning
    Process Model -> idle T/ime-out(minutes): 0
    Recycling -> Regular Time Interval:0
