You could try to install Rapid SCADA 6 on Windows 10/11 for testing.

Webstation v6 uses .NET6. So an application pool, named “.NET v4.5” is invalid.
The Server service listens to the port 10000, not 80.

In log files, the server’s time zone is used.
In the database, timestamps are passed in UTC. However, actual time zone is driver dependent.
In Webstation, time zone is specified by the web app configuration. By default server’s time zone is used. It can be changed in Administrator.

If you need to write data to DB on button click, probably, you should try DB Import Driver (instead of DB Export Module). That driver can write data on command.
The driver library is DrvDbImport.dll

Windows Server 2016 is OK.
Please check Webstation log file for errors.
Webstation 5.x is not compatible with Server 6.x and vice versa.

The report generates, and I can see data in there… although excel doesn’t open the file.

Open Excel first, then open the file from Excel.

I would recommend to upgrade Rapid SCADA to the latest version. Missing phrases are a sign of a problem with the installation.
