Participantrsepulve,
I am not currently at home to get the information you require. I will only return home mid next week.
I will then take screendumps of my settings and post them.October 12, 2018 at 10:29 am #4424Boon Chang
ParticipantHi,
I do not quite understand how this remote communicator connects to the Server of another PC as well.I have two PCs. Both has Rapid SCADA applications installed, one of them has OPC tags connected to the Rapid SCADA Communicator on it.
For both PC, I have the same setting for the Rapid SCADA Administrator (Same device name, communication line, input channel). Is it possible to obtain the tags values for the OPC tags on the other computer?
Does it have something to do with the Call number of the device?October 12, 2018 at 5:11 pm #4431Mikhail
ModeratorIf you use remote Communicator, you need the only one Communicator application on a remote PC. Other Rapid SCADA apps should not be installed there.
In other case, if you have 2 Rapid SCADA servers, you can use Rapid Gate module to transfer data.

ModeratorHello,
In the connection options of the Communicator B you should specify the Server A.
It would be more efficient if you provide screenshots of your settings.May 22, 2023 at 5:11 pm #12678Pieter
ParticipantI am still using rapid scada. But I moved all components onto a single server machine back in 2018. I cant even remember what I did, had no notes. Just tried a bunch of stuff and then it came alive.
Its not that easy to get it to work the first time you try it. I will try to setup a test bench and grab some screen dumps of settings, kind of like a tutorial.
Its about time I update my instance of rapid scada aswellMay 24, 2023 at 8:43 am #12689Mikhail
ModeratorIn different cases different architectures are convenient.

ParticipantExcellent, just found the database import update. Been using 5.5.1. Using kepserver to create opc server then rapid scada to get values from plc’s hourly.
Now I can use our historian server and get the same values without the hassle of kepserver.August 3, 2023 at 2:28 pm #13174Mikhail
ModeratorDo you mean DB Import Plus?
