Declaring Commands

Hello, I have a doubt from what I have read and seen on the videos, if it is required to declare also an input channel when you declare an output channel to send commands (or values)to OPC variables (for example). I understand that you have to link them together for the command (or value) to be sent to the destination (OPC in my case).

To send a command you need only an output channel.
You should create an input channel to get a measurement to it.

However, for a relay it’s useful to create both, input and output channels. Input channel to get a relay state. And output channel to change it.
