Connect two pc with RapidGate

I need help to connect two PC’s that have rapidScada and use OPC, they would have to connect with RapidGate but I can’t achieve it. If someone could help me, I would appreciate it.

Draw a diagram of what you want to do? Since RapidGate is not an OPC, it is designed to transfer data from one RapidScada to another RapidScada

RapidGate should be installed on the Scada side where you have an OPC poll, nothing is required on the second side.

HI, I need to make the same connection between two PCs with RapidGate, but with the configuration of the PCs, in my case one emits the data and the other receives it, but I can’t connect them.
How would the PCs connect, where does my PC that receives the data have to point, to localhost, or to the RapidGate module?

Hi,

The main PC:
– Does not need Rapid Gate
– Has static IP or DNS name
– No controllers connected

The “remote” PC:
– Polls controllers
– Needs Rapid Gate
– Can have dynamic IP
– Rapid Gate initiates connection to the main PC and uploads data automatically

Hello,
Check Rapid Gate log file located in C:\SCADA\ScadaServer\Log for error details.

In my main PC I only have to create a line and a channel for the reception of the data?

Usually devices are polled by the remote PC. The main PC only processes input channels.
The both configurations, for the main PC and the remote PC, should be created within the single project that has 2 instances.

I tried install a rapid gate on remote PC, but I can copy the module configuration files ModRapidGate.xml and ModRapidGate_Reg.xml into the edited project because I can not see them. Where these files ModRapidGate.xml and ModRapidGate_Reg.xml are located?

Hello,
ModRapidGate.xml and ModRapidGate_Reg.xml are created automatically in the proper location of the project when you configure the module using the Administrator application.

I donot know how to config the Option to achieve data transfer between rapidSCADAs。 In connection Option host is the remote PC IP，username admin password sacada 。 port and the TimeOUt is the default。 the instance and the Secret Key is null . uopload the Project to the PC .BUt I cannot rececive the Current Data in the Remote PC。can you help me to finish the test environment.
