I need help to connect two PC’s that have rapidScada and use OPC, they would have to connect with RapidGate but I can’t achieve it. If someone could help me, I would appreciate it.

December 17, 2021 at 11:46 am #9784NicoalsParticipantI know, I know that rapidgate is for data transfer, I need to connect two PC’s through rapidgate where one takes data from an OPC server and sends it to another rapidscada
| PC A |——————————-| PC B |
| recollec OPC data | |_receive data_|
|_____and send______|December 17, 2021 at 1:51 pm #9788MikhailModeratorRapid Gate manual is here https://rapidscada.net/doc/content/latest/en/modules/mod-rapid-gate.html
To get some answers, please ask a specific question.December 17, 2021 at 1:53 pm #9789manjey73ParticipantRapidGate should be installed on the Scada side where you have an OPC poll, nothing is required on the second side.
December 17, 2021 at 2:14 pm #9793NicoalsParticipantJust one side Rapidgate? Thank you.
But how do I get the second PC to read the survey where my data is?
I’m so new to rapidscada, that i dont idea- This reply was modified 2 years, 4 months ago by Nicoals.
December 17, 2021 at 8:39 pm #9797TwetParticipantHI, I need to make the same connection between two PCs with RapidGate, but with the configuration of the PCs, in my case one emits the data and the other receives it, but I can’t connect them.
How would the PCs connect, where does my PC that receives the data have to point, to localhost, or to the RapidGate module?December 20, 2021 at 7:58 am #9803MikhailModeratorHi,
The main PC:
– Does not need Rapid Gate
– Has static IP or DNS name
– No controllers connectedThe “remote” PC:
– Polls controllers
– Needs Rapid Gate
– Can have dynamic IP
– Rapid Gate initiates connection to the main PC and uploads data automatically- This reply was modified 2 years, 4 months ago by Mikhail.
December 21, 2021 at 3:32 am #9812LoonnggParticipantHello, Im trying to make the same connection as Twet, but my Rapid Gate doesn’t make the connection to the main PC. This is the configuration in the Rapid Gate: https://imgur.com/a/PbEcasE
is this configuration ok?December 21, 2021 at 12:05 pm #9814MikhailModeratorHello,
Check Rapid Gate log file located in C:\SCADA\ScadaServer\Log for error details.December 22, 2021 at 1:25 pm #9823TwetParticipantIn my main PC I only have to create a line and a channel for the reception of the data?
December 23, 2021 at 1:16 pm #9827MikhailModeratorUsually devices are polled by the remote PC. The main PC only processes input channels.
The both configurations, for the main PC and the remote PC, should be created within the single project that has 2 instances.May 27, 2023 at 2:28 am #12725RapidScadaHanParticipantDear Mr.Mikhail,
I tried install a rapid gate on remote PC, but I can copy the module configuration files ModRapidGate.xml and ModRapidGate_Reg.xml into the edited project because I can not see them. Where these files ModRapidGate.xml and ModRapidGate_Reg.xml are located?
Thanks a lotMay 29, 2023 at 9:08 am #12729MikhailModeratorHello,
ModRapidGate.xml and ModRapidGate_Reg.xml are created automatically in the proper location of the project when you configure the module using the Administrator application.June 28, 2023 at 2:51 am #12881manyan2028Participanthello Mikhail
