MikhailModeratorHello,
The screenshot is not available. Please upload it again.
MikhailModeratorHi,
What Rapid SCADA version do you use?
MikhailModeratorjoeh6966, you should define the views exactly as it’s shown in the videos. No *.rsproj files there.
MikhailModeratorRead the document mentioned above. First, install new Rapid SCADA on another machine to test. Follow the document to convert the project.
MikhailModeratorUpgrade from v5.6 to v5.8 is similar.
MikhailModeratorThe default user Admin has full rights despite you fill the Rights table. Make sure that the view is opened if Admin is logged on.
MikhailModeratorDo I need to try out the Automatic Control Module to get what I want?
I think you should use formulas.
Do you get correct double value in Communicator?
MikhailModeratorI only need to read 4 registers 5 times a day.
Set the period like written here to poll on time.
MikhailModeratorRoot cause will be clear when the problem is solved.
MikhailModeratorThe provided screenshots don’t contain any error.
Look for communication line log.
MikhailModeratorIt’s possible to develop a native driver, but may be expensive.
Have you directly asked the manufacturer about the OPC?
MikhailModeratorI cannot even get the test project with KpModbus_Adam6015.xml to run. I get “error” instead of normal and communication error.
If you provide screenshots, I will try to help you.
Does my other program polling the PAC3200, powerconfig, have to be offline to communicate?
If you use RS-485, the only one application can poll.
If you use TCP, it depends on a particular device. Many devices support only 1 connection.
MikhailModeratorAfter you do the above, next step is integrating OPC server with SCADA.
MikhailModeratorOPC server is a software developed by a manufacturer of controller.
First, you should download, install it and get data from a device.
If you need support in this process, you should ask developers of OPC server for help.
