ParticipantWell continuing with this topic and after several experiments I got an on-screen keyboard to work on Raspberry Pi4
The application is already in the Raspbian package manager.
It’s called GNOME Onboard.
It is not like the Android one, but it works in Kiosk mode.
Greetings.Merdock
ParticipantThanks for your answer Mikhail.
Unfortunately the only keyboards that work properly dynamically when entering the typing box is Android, I guess iOS work properly too.
In windows there is the virtual keyboard, it works quite well, but it is not very dynamic with text boxes.
Linux, because in RPi and other distributions, touch screens are a headache from the beginning.
We added to configure the virtual keyboard in Linux and we already have reasons to go to the pharmacy for Aspirin.
The integration of the virtual keyboard within the data boxes in RapidScada would really be very good.
And since we are talking about data boxes, it would also be nice to be able to send values without the popup.
Just ideas of course, I understand that everything is a lot of work and time.Merdock
ParticipantHello as far as I know you should pass the project already loaded and running from Windows to Linux.
ScadaAdmin.exe, I don’t think it’s programmed to work on Linux.
But the final word on it is Mikhail.
Here an instruction.

ParticipantMy English not good enough to explain but I can upload RS project from Windows to Linux over internet easily.
Let’s see if I understand what you mean.
You have a Linux PC running Rapidscada elsewhere.
You do the project on a Windows PC.
You want to transfer the project over the internet to your Linux PC.As far as I know, to do this you must use a third party remote file management program.

ParticipantHi.
The way I pass the projects to RaspberryPI is:
1- I install Rapidscada is RaspberryPI and then I verify that it works correctly.
2 – I create the project in Windows and verify that it works correctly.
3 – I create a copy of the windows SCADA folder in another place.
4 – I delete the ScadaServerSvcConfig.xml file located in the copy \ SCADA \ ScadaServer \ Config \
5- I search all the folders within the copy \ SCADA \ Scadaxxx \ config \ *. Xlm and edit the paths to match the Linux paths.
6- I edit the ScadaCommSvcConfig.xml file located in the copy \ SCADA \ ScadaComm \ Config. so that the names of serial ports and other devices match Linux.
7- I overwrite the SCADA Folder of the rasberryPI SD with the edited folder. usually located at: / opt / scada /
8. Be careful with the name, in Windows it is SCADA in uppercase and in Linux it is scada in lowercase.I hope it helps.

ParticipantHi Mikhail.
Thanks for your answer.
It would be interesting for the registration of data in production line to associate the data with a user.
In my implementation for a correct traceability system it is necessary to associate the data obtained to the user.
It is not necessary for the system to store the username can be an identification number.
What I would need is that on the screen with that number I can link it to a name. that would be the same name of the user that starts the system.Merdock
ParticipantThank you.
It was simpler than I tried to do. -
