ParticipantDear Rapid SCADA team and forum users,
I am considering the possibility of conducting research on security and evolution of industrial control systems software. I am an assistant professor who focuses on software security, software testing and analysis, and software maintenance. I am looking for potential partners that may be able to share their Rapid SCADA applications and may be interested in acting as testers or users of research I may explore. In particular, I am developing ideas involving vulnerability and software change-prediction analysis over industrial control systems software. As a result, obtaining access to Rapid SCADA applications and partners who maintain those applications would be highly helpful. Any guidance, help, or suggestions on the matter is highly appreciated.
Thanks,

ParticipantThank you, Mikhail. I will look into all of this.
Do you have any suggestions about finding industrial partners for this work?

ModeratorOur company either develop Rapid SCADA software or create turn key configurations to deploy on locations. Talking about SCADA security, I suggest Positive Technologies. They are smart.

ParticipantThank you very much for all the help and information, Mikhail! I have contacted Positive Technologies.
Would your company be interested in, at least, acting as testers or users of any vulnerability or software analyses we build for ICS/SCADA software? I am also open to suggestions regarding what specific kinds of analyses for software security and maintenance are needed for ICS/SCADA software systems.

ModeratorI have contacted Positive Technologies.
If you find it usefull, add me to email topics, related to Rapid SCADA, with Positive Technologies. It’s interesting.

We are interested in improving Rapid SCADA and constantly do this. If you mean testing and using Rapid SCADA to analyse security, we would like to join. Because Rapid SCADA is open source, in case of large work we should think about commercial aspect too and possibly ask for sponsorship.
