    Greetings,

I recently installed the Rapid Scada without any kind of problems. Doing a research on the website I found the language pack that includes the spanish language.

I followed all the instructions that are included in the Lang pack but I’m not able to change the language to spanish, I only can turn the language into russian like it originally comes.

It will be really helpful if anyone can help me.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

You should manually type the culture name. In your case: es-LA
    Then restart the applications.

    Greetings,

Thanks for the help, I did the change manually, but now when I restart the applications it appears the following error:

“Error loading dictionaries from file C:\SCADA\ScadaAdmin\Lang\ScadaData.es-LA.xml: Data at the root level is invalid. Line 1, position 1.”

    And the next one too:

“Error loading dictionaries from file C:\SCADA\ScadaAdmin\Lang\ScadaAdmin.es-LA.xml: Data at the root level is invalid. Line 1, position 1.”

I did check that all the files had the proper name but still can’t change the language of the applications

Hope we can solve this problem

    Greetings,

I downloaded the updated version as you said and the problems I mentioned in the last post were solved. Now the Administrator, Table Editor, Server and Webstation applications are in Spanish and working perfectly as I saw.

But now I have two new problems, one for the Communicator application and the other for the Scheme Editor application.

    Communicator application error:
“Error loading dictionaries from file C:\SCADA\ScadaComm\Lang\ScadaComm.es-LA.xml: ‘<‘is an unexpected token. The expected token is ‘>’. Line 238, position 2.”

After clicking “OK” the Communicator application opens in Russian language, but apparently everything works perfectly, just obviusly in Russian so I don’t understand.

I checked in the GitHub you send me the specified line and I saw that this line has a space before the sentence. The line before also doesn’t have the ‘>’ symbol after the sentence. I’m not a programmer so I’m not sure if that affects to the problem directly. I’m just trying to do my best to help the community and have a better SCADA solution.

    Scheme Editor error:
    “Excepción de Unhandled:
Filter string you provided is not valid. The filter string must contain a description of the filter, followed by the vertical bar (|) and the filter pattern. The strings for different filtering options must also be separated by vertical bars. Example: “Text files (*.txt)|*.txt|All files (*.*)|*.*”

After clicking the “OK” Button the Scheme Editor application opens in Spanish language (with some components and objects in English), but the website for making the editions to a scheme doesn’t open automatically, as it used to happen in English and Russian language. Even when I click in “Archivo -> Open browser” (“File -> Open browser”) it doesn’t open and launch the following error:

    “Archivo C:\SCADA\ScadaSchemeEditor\Web\plugins\SchemeEditor\editor.html no encontrado”

Which means that the file C:\SCADA\ScadaSchemeEditor\Web\plugins\SchemeEditor\editor.html has not been founded.

I’m sorry for the long post, and for being insistent by installing the Spanish language, but hope that with this we can help all the Spanish community to install the Rapid Scada in this language without any problems.

Also I’m currently doing my Thesis in the Universidad Rafael Urdaneta in Maracaibo, Venezuela. For this reason it would be perfect and really helpful if I can use the Rapid Scada in Spanish language without any problems.

    Waiting for a response,
    José Sánchez

    Hi,
I fixed the error related to Communicator. Download Language Pack again, please.

Talking about Scheme Editor, the file ScadaSchemeEditor\Lang\ScadaSchemeEditor.es-LA.xml is outdated. You have 2 options:
    1. The best is creating a new translation for Scheme Editor.
Copy ScadaSchemeEditor.en-GB.xml to ScadaSchemeEditor.es-LA.xml. Then open it and translate the phrases. When it is tested, you could send me the file to include in the pack.

    2. Delete ScadaSchemeEditor.es-LA.xml and use the editor in English.

    Hello Mikhail,

Thanks for solving the problem with the Communicator application. As for the Scheme Editor application I will do the first option you said.

Once I have a tested and fully functional .xml I will send you the file to help the community

    Thanks,

    Hello Mikhail,

I did exactly what you told me (to copy the en-GB file, translate and save), but it didn’t work. When I start the Scheme Editor application it runs perfectly with no errors but in English. It seems that it doesn’t take the es-LA file at all.

Also I wanted to make some changes in other files, like for example ScadaAdmin.es-LA.xml, because it has some grammatical and syntaxis errors. But when I save the file with the changes and run the application it pulls out an error and launch the application (in this case the Admin) in Russian.

I’m just changing the sentences and nothing else and then save the file but it doesn’t work.

When I open the .xml files it opens the WordPad software, in which I make the changes. This information in case you wanted to know.

The solution I’m thinking off, is that I can send you all the files in Spanish and then you have a check and add the in the Language Pack properly.

    Hi José,

I recommend Notepad++ for editing XML. WordPad may corrupt them. You can download Notepad++ from https://notepad-plus-plus.org/

You should check C:\SCADA\ScadaSchemeEditor\Log\ScadaSchemeEditor.log for error details.

Before you send the files to me, try to check them by yourself. I can help you to understand meanings of error messages.

    Hello Mikhail,

I will use Notepad++ and let you know any information. I will try to check them first by myself.

    Thanks,

    Hi,
If you can’t fix it by yourself, be free to ask.
