Hi. I consider it interesting to add a virtual keyboard option. Personally RapidScada is used in full screen.
Touch devices are very popular.
I have run into the problem in Linux of having to add physical keyboards since this solution is not very well implemented dynamically.I am quite ignorant in programming, but I found some solutions from terse JS and CS.
Here is an example that would be interesting to implement within RapidScada.

I agree that virtual keyboard would be useful. And some users asked about it. In my opinion, virtual keyboard should not be a part of a particular web application. Probably it should be a browser extension or a native application of an OS. For example, like keyboard in Android and Windows.
However, it’s also possible to develop a plugin for the Webstation app that implements a keyboard.

Unfortunately the only keyboards that work properly dynamically when entering the typing box is Android, I guess iOS work properly too.
In windows there is the virtual keyboard, it works quite well, but it is not very dynamic with text boxes.
Linux, because in RPi and other distributions, touch screens are a headache from the beginning.
We added to configure the virtual keyboard in Linux and we already have reasons to go to the pharmacy for Aspirin.
The integration of the virtual keyboard within the data boxes in RapidScada would really be very good.
And since we are talking about data boxes, it would also be nice to be able to send values without the popup.
Just ideas of course, I understand that everything is a lot of work and time.January 5, 2021 at 1:29 pm #7943MikhailModeratorIn windows there is the virtual keyboard, it works quite well, but it is not very dynamic with text boxes.
If switch Windows to tablet mode, the keyboard will show automatically.

January 19, 2021 at 9:27 pm #8100MerdockParticipantWell continuing with this topic and after several experiments I got an on-screen keyboard to work on Raspberry Pi4
The application is already in the Raspbian package manager.
It’s called GNOME Onboard.
It is not like the Android one, but it works in Kiosk mode.
Greetings.January 20, 2021 at 1:52 pm #8112MikhailModeratorThanks a lot for the info!
Could you provide some screenshots?January 25, 2021 at 8:48 pm #8155MerdockParticipantInstall Onboard Packages
