    Hi,

I want to make sure that I understand the averaging column’s function correctly. Does it take the average of (the newly updated reading with a number of previous readings) ? If so, is there a way to control the number of points to be taken in the averaging computation ?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    For minute data:
It summarizes the values which were received during the minute and divide the sum by the number of values.

    For hourly data:
The same, but values are summarized during the hour.

You can calculate number of points if create a formula that increases a counter each time when it is calculated by SCADA.

So if I have understood correctly, this means that if I have an input channel and I want the average per hour to be displayed as in hourly data, I should do the following:

1- change the channel type to hourly real
    2- mark averaging column

    Correct?

    1. Not “hourly real”, but “real”.
    2. Yes.
