RSLinx Gateway OPC

Hi. So I got RSLinx gateway.
OPC test client can get and read tags.
Rapidscada communicator seems to be having a hard time.
So I connect to RSLinx OPC server instance.
Expand data item folder.
Next folder is my opc topic name then online.
From there I can see my ladder logix rungs names.
MainProgram.

When I click MainPrograms I get the same folder…

This never stoops at any pieter.

I haven’t tried connecting via OPC RSLinx, so I can’t recommend anything. Which Allen Bradley PLC do you want to read and through which interface ?

Hi,

Probably, they are a bit incompatible.
You can do the following:
1. Enter OPC tags in the Communicator settings manually. Use C:\SCADA\Projects\DemoProject.en-GB\Instances\Default\ScadaComm\Config\KpOpc_021.xml as example
2. If a manufacturer of the OPC server supports OPC UA, use OPC UA instead of classic OPC.
