    Hello, I am a new user to rapid scada, just start with 5.8.4 version, I want to connect PLC to rapid scada via opc ua, I am wondering ig 5.8.4 is compitiable with opc-ua since i only see documentation about opcDA/AE, if yes, could you please let me know how to start it with rapid scada, or there is any documentation you recommand, thanks

    Hello,

    Yes, Rapid SCADA 5.8.4 includes OPC UA client driver. Configuration of OPC UA driver is similar to OPC Classic driver.

    I suggest Rapid SCADA 6 for new projects, because it is more simple to configure.

    hello， thank you for your reply, i have already installed the 5.8.4 version, should i unstall 5.8.4 and then install 6 or i can go ahead install 6? and also, i see the documentation is very limited for scada6, is there anymore documentation or resources? or i can still see scada 5 documentation for scada6?

    If the both versions are installed in parallel, there will be a conflict, because they use the same TCP ports. It’s better to uninstall the older version first. Or use virtual machines for different versions.

    Please use documentation for version 5. The visual changes are not too big. The most changes were made inside the engine.
