I am using RapidSCADA with the Matricon OPC simulator server. It works well as instructed in the Youtube video tutorial. I want to log/capture all the communication between RapidSCADA client and Matricon OPC server. Could you please suggest how can I do so? I installed Matricon OPC sniffer, but it cannot find the installed Matricon OPC server on my computer.

I would appreciate responses to the following questions:
– Is it mandatory to restart server and communicator while uploading a project to RapidSCADA?
– Is it possible to run two different projects simultaneously on the same machine and view outputs on the webstation?

Agent automatically decides whether to restart or not. It depends what settings was changed.

Is it possible to run two different projects simultaneously on the same machine and view outputs on the webstation?

Do you mean to install 2 different Rapid SCADA on one machine?

My responses to your comments are as follows:

Does the OPC sniffer work with classic OPC (Midcrosoft OLE) or UPC UA?
Matrikon OPC sniffer is for classic OPC supporting OPC DA 2.0 and 1.0a specifications.

Let me rephrase my questions again to help you answer precisely:
Do you mean to install 2 different Rapid SCADA on one machine?
Is it possible to run the HelloWorld project and DemoPrject simultaneously in one machine?

When uploading a project to the server, there are two options to restart the server and communicator. When uploading the OPC Project I intentionally unchecked these two options. The reading and writing operations to the OPC are not working properly at the workstation. However, they worked as intended when both options are checked during configuration upload.

It is possible to install to different Rapid SCADA on a one machine, and run 2 projects. But it’s not so easy. If you need more info about it, please start a separate topic. It’s better to deploy 2 virtual machines.

You should analyze the log files of Communicator.
