Maximum number of Modbus devices

Hello,

May I know if there is any maximum number of Modbus RTU RS485 devices that can be managed via Rapid SCADA platform? 65535 or more than?

How can we manage if the number of devices larger than 65535 devices?
Or we need to quit for this option.

In version 6 of RapidScada there are no restrictions on the number of channels. You can also connect more devices than 65535

To add more than 65535 devices:
1. With Rapid SCADA 5 deploy an extra server.
2. With Rapid SCADA 6 there is no programmatically limits.

Thanks for the reply and support here.
As I am a new user for this platform, currently I can only handle up to 50 devices especially 485 Modbus RTU devices. Just in case for the idea and plan, if my project can be enlarged as many devices to be deployed.

If you add thousands of devices, especially with master-slave polling, you may face network performance issues that should be solved individually.
