    Hi there,
I`m using DB Import based on the guide and I could get the values from fields whose type are numeric. However, when I tried to query string fields, I could not find correct “Channel Type” in “Input channels” page. The “Format” column could be assigned “ASCII TEXT”,but it seems only a few characters is obtained, not the whole string value.
Is there any ways to achieve this purporse?

    Another problem is bothering me.
I am trying to query a batch of values from mysql.
For example,In “The Data Retrieval page”,I am using the sql statement, something like this “select id from table”. Actually this statement would get a result set,but only the first record is shown, the following records are missing.

I figure out this could be solved if more devices are configured, with specified sql statements are written. But this does not seem elegant, somehow

    Hi,

It supports 8 Latin characters per input channel.

You right. The idea of the driver is to get a single row of current data.

If you need to update the existing driver to be able to get data from a row set, we could discuss the requirements and cost.

If string values are static, it’s possible to return a number from SQL request and then display it as a string (for example, Off and On values).
