ModeratorHello Christian,
Right. When you configure device in Communicator, don’t forget to set tag codes.August 29, 2022 at 10:22 am #10596AFP
ParticipantThank you Manjey73 and Mikhail for your feedback.
Please, do I have to set channels manually with tag codes first then to run the Wizard after that ?
I tried that both cases but there is no change….August 29, 2022 at 11:02 am #10598AFP
ParticipantPlease, What are steps before running Channels Wizard ?
It seems to me that something is missing or wrong in my side…August 29, 2022 at 2:42 pm #10600manjey73
ParticipantYou must have a communication line set up in the Communicator to be able to use the Channel Creation wizard. In the window, you select a line, a device, and you should be shown how many channels will be created. After that, you transfer the configuration to the server and restart it.

ParticipantManjey73,
Thank you for your feedback.
Communication line is up in communicator. But from the channel creation wizard after selecting a line and the device, the “next” button stay locked as showed in the previou s picture.
Furthermore how or from which setting the application will determine how many channels will or should be created ? In the picture I still have 0 even when I added 1 channel manually in channels table.August 29, 2022 at 8:12 pm #10602manjey73
ParticipantAfter changing the settings and adding the Code, you need to transfer the configuration to the Server. Otherwise, how will the Server know that you have added the Code and the tag wizard will know about it? There is no Tag code on your picture, respectively, there is no information for the Channel Creation Wizard what to add.

ParticipantYou will probably also need to specify the connection with the server in the Communicator

ParticipantThe following link show the current situation
Channel wizard 2I already added everything and uploaded configuration to the server. But as you can see, the wizard still can’t add channels.
Also, at this stage I need to understand how the server will know how many channels to add for the selected line and device ? Is there a value corresponding to that in the system ?Regards,
Christian

ModeratorHello,
For some reason, channel generation for MQTT client has not been implemented yet.
You should create channels manually. Copy channel properties from Simulator channels.
Thank you for reporting this issue. We will implement the feature for MQTT channel generation with a priority, and I will let you know about it in this topic.

ModeratorMQTT client driver will support generating channels in the next release.
