RTU500 AS 61850 SERVER

Hi everyone.
I’m working with RTU500 ABB. I need to configure it as 61850 Server.
But, I don’t have any neither documentations nor instructions.
Have anyone ever done it?
I really need your help.

Hi,
If RTU500 works as IEC 61850 server, you need an OPC server to integrate it with Rapid SCADA.
If you are looking for RTU500 manual, you should request the manufacturer.

I definitely recommend the driver rather than OPC server because native driver is more efficient.

Hi,
I wrote a driver ModIec61850 to export data and a driver KpIec61850 to access data from devices. They both work now.
Developing a driver is much more efficient.

I am using an ABB RTU520. I have downloaded the configuration file from the RTU520 and I need to edit the configuration. Could you please let me know which software is required to open and edit this configuration file? The file extension is .rcd. Can this .rcd configuration file be opened and edited using RTUtil500? Please provide the required software details and the correct procedure to upload the modified file back to the RTU520.
