    Thanks it worked however you have to know beforehand the strings that the device is giving you. In case, somebody wants to change the name of a particular device and get it back on display, cannot be implemented.

    I think, we will implement the required functionality sooner or later. It is not included in the plan for now, but in case of some commercial interest, we can arrange it.

    The technical limits:
    – ASCII encoding
    – max. length is 8 characters

    Hi Mikhail.

    ¿There is an 8 character string limitation for Dynamic Text visualization on SNMP data still?

    Just updated to the current 5.7.1 release (but was the same on previous versions) and could see the SNMP strings are properly received by the Communicator, but on the Web visualization they are always truncated to a 8 leftmost characters.

    Hi,

    Yes, this is a limit. Input channel values are stored in a “double”, which has 8 bytes.
