    16/05/2016 13:10:40 Create channels
    -----------------------------------

    Check dictionaries.
    Create channels.
Count of added output channels: 0.
Count of added input channels: 159.. Count of errors: 8.
Channel 1356: The data was truncated while converting from one data type to another. [ Name of function(if known) = ]
Channel 1375: The data was truncated while converting from one data type to another. [ Name of function(if known) = ]
Channel 1377: The data was truncated while converting from one data type to another. [ Name of function(if known) = ]
Channel 1378: The data was truncated while converting from one data type to another. [ Name of function(if known) = ]
Channel 1383: The data was truncated while converting from one data type to another. [ Name of function(if known) = ]
Channel 1384: The data was truncated while converting from one data type to another. [ Name of function(if known) = ]
Channel 1385: The data was truncated while converting from one data type to another. [ Name of function(if known) = ]
Channel 1386: The data was truncated while converting from one data type to another. [ Name of function(if known) = ]

Channels have been created with errors.

    Those channels are NOT created.

Could it be because joining device and channel name is >50 characters ?

    – Would be useful to create them any way
    – Better error description: “Channel name was truncated. Exceeds 50 chars!”
    – Why 50 chars ? (I mean, knowing it it’s ok but… why not 100?)

    I will check.
Is there any additional info in C:\SCADA\ScadaAdmin\ScadaAdmin.err ?

    No more details.

I had that same error 2 times, same amount I used the same device template.

I shortened device field names and got no errors, it should be that.
