Hello, with this beta version is it possible to use names instead of signal number for the channel objects? The reason is we are using an OPC and when we add a new tag and would like to group it with existing ones, signal value of other tags shift by one. As result, the channel objects refer to old signal values.

    Hi,
This feature is going to be be implemented in a one of future versions, but not in this beta. If your company able to sponsor this feature, it can appear faster. In any case, I hope we will do it.

    Hi Mikahil.

I have a site developed under RapidScada 5.6.0, running fine until today.
Just upgraded to the 5.7.0 beta: the website seems to be running ok with my previous project, but cannot find any of the existing configuration and data on the new Administrator.
¿Is there any tutorial on how to migrate or “import” all the old work previously done into a new project?

    Regards,
    Juan Carlos.

    Hi Juan,

    To upgrade:
    1. Create a new empty project in the new Administrator.
    2. Make sure that the existing configuration is deployed to your server and works well.
    3. Download the existing configuration into the new project by Administrator.

    Hi Mikhail.

I did that way and worked.
    Thank you!

    Hello Mikhail,

I installed version 5.7.0. Windows settings are as indicated.
    However, the installer issued errors.
Despite them, the version seems to work well and I could successfully follow all the steps of the video example/demo.

Now I need to migrate the database configuration I was using with version 5.6.1.

Do I have to do it using the former procedure “Migrate Configuration to New Server”? Or instead,
Use the Upload and Download feature provided in version 5.0.7?

I saw the indications you gave to community member “jmartins”.
    Could you please explain:
“3. Download the existing configuration into the new project by Administrator.”

    Thank you very much.
    Best regards
    Horacio

Yes, I understand. This button is removed. Instead of this, you can use a filter of the Input channels table to filter the records by an object.

Why grouping by devices is not enough for you? What is the specifics of your system?

Hi, because I have 15 different places, and some of this places have more than 1 PLC. I builded all the structure agrouping all PLCs, and local variables by objects, each object represent a place.
