    Dear Mikhail,

I have made a set up for RTU communication, As I try to change the address in SC communicator and restarts it , it doesn’t immediately changed and give comm error ( SLAVE side address is OK), I have kept call no field of both administrator and communicator “blank”.

I also change the address in administrator “devices” and restarts server after passing the values, but still communicator doesnot changes the address to new setting, in request sequence it always shows the new updated address.

If I attache a device with address to which communicator is trying to communicate, then everything works fine as it should….

How come this be possible that in communicator setting a different address is set “say 3” and in actual run mode it tries to communicate with “4”…

In initial setting I set it to “4” then it was trying to communicate with “3”
So pls give me some clue what to look for??

If Use SCADA-Server checkbox is set on and communication line is bound to server in Communicator settings, the device address is taken from the configuration database (SCADA-Administrator). You can validate that address is actual in SCADA-Server -> Files -> Configuration database -> kp.dat
After editing and passing the database restart Communicator.
