    Mikhail:

I have 3 computers and I wish to make 1. SCADA Server (Full Install of Rapid SCADA)
    2. RTU (Communicator Installed) and 3. A virtual device that (not sure what to install I am thinking the Communicator and the OPC), please advise on this third machine.

These will all be run as separate VMs on Virtual Box, I want them all to communicate with each other so far computer 1 and computer 2 are talking. I just need to know what to install on the third virtual machine that I want to use as a virtual device.

    Thank you so much,
    Dawn

    Hi Dawn,

    I suggest Rapid SCADA 5.7.x
On the 1st VM install all the apps.
On the 2nd and 3rd install Communicator and Agent.

As virtual device you can choose Martrikon OPC simulation server or use the included in Rapid SCADA KpSimulator.dll driver.

When you say agent you mean the modbus and OPC, is this correct.

    Thank you,

Agent is the application of Rapid SCADA. Agent is included in Rapid SCADA 5.7.

When you install Rapid SCADA 5.7, you will connect to VMs from Administrator installed on your workstation PC.

ALL of the machines are VMs. Do you mean the main VM with all software installed?

    Thank you,
    Dawn

    Yes, the main.

Please clarify what is going on. Screenshots usually help to understand.
