For the Chart Pro plugin, when the displayed “Period” is changed to reflect longer time spans, what data resolution is made available?

It appears that the “minute”ly data is always used. This is good for data resolution but maybe be harder on limited bandwidth connections to the web server etc…

It looks like local zooming uses the cached client broswer data set, which is nicely functional as the server need not be queried again for the zoom data set.

I am just wondering when the software uses the “hour”ly aggregate data versus the “minute”ly data.

Thanks very much for the help. Very nicely implemented charting module…

When you open a chart for a period, it downloads all available minute data for the selected channels.
Zoom operates data that is already loaded without requesting a server.
Hourly data are used for reports and for table views.

Talking about charts, in different cases different approaches are optimal. May be there should be settings for this. But the plugin would be too complex. If our users develop more chart plugins, it would be wonderful.
