ParticipantHi Mikhail,
Can you tell me how to do exactly the third step (3. Setup links on the main scheme to open popups by view ID.)
Regards

ParticipantHi,
Can you give me a brief illustration?April 7, 2023 at 12:59 pm #12392
MikhailModeratorHi,
Could you publish a screenshot where a link component is added to a scheme, and it’s properties are displayed in the properties table?December 24, 2025 at 10:02 am #17463
modivirParticipantHi,
We would like to implement standard popup faceplates for pump and valve operation within the SCADA system.
On the overview screen, two pumps and two valves will be displayed. When the operator clicks on any pump or valve, a compact faceplate will open as a popup window.
Pump Faceplate
The pump faceplate will provide the following indications and controls:
Pump running status feedback
Pump trip / fault status feedback
Pump start push button
Pump stop push buttonValve Faceplate
The valve faceplate will provide the following indications and controls:
Valve open status feedback
Valve close status feedback
Valve open push button
Valve close push button
The same pump faceplate and valve faceplate designs will be reused for all pumps and valves. The displayed data and controls will automatically update based on the selected equipment.December 24, 2025 at 11:07 am #17468
MikhailModeratorHi,
Do you have a question?December 24, 2025 at 11:12 am #17471
modivirParticipantHi,
first of all sorryThere is a separate file called a faceplate. How is this faceplate used in the Scheme Classic / Mimic Diagram so that, when an operator clicks on a pump or valve in the overview screen, the corresponding popup faceplate opens and shows control and status details?

MikhailModeratorHi,
Faceplates are supported by new mimic diagrams.1. A faceplate (and any component) has the “On click” property that can be used to specify an action executed when the faceplate is clicked. Including an action to open another view in a popup.
2. If you need, for example, 2 buttons for different actions on a faceplace, it is more complex. In this case it’s needed to create new exported properties in the template. To be honest, I haven’t tried it yet.

MikhailModeratorTo open something in a popup, you should create a view. It may be a hidden view to exclude it from the tree.
