    What I don’t get is how some of the command is correct but the rest is all wrong.

    Yes it works correctly on windows i have tested the whole system on windows and it works.

    Ok with the info above I have adjusted the .xml file address to 10 to see if there was a change in the signals received there was

    The program log states it sent : 64 04 00 0A 00 16 58 33
    That is correct however

    In reality it sent :64 04 80 85 80 8b AC E6

    The only error in the log is as follows it is listed multiple times

    Date and time communication session with device 100 “A/W PLC”, type kpmodbus address 100 call number 100
    Request element group
    Send (8): 64 04 00 0A 00 16 58 33
    Receive (0/5) :
    Communication error

    Now the device was not attached however it would not work anyway with those registers as they are unused.

    Hi

    I should clarify the info I sent you was from a third party software looking at the signals recived by com port the problem I am haveing is the modbus first register is not the one I typed in if I change it the out put allso changes however it is all over the place the no of registers is allso wrong however all other relevent data is correct eg the device Id and function code as for the log ill attach it bellow.

    First off thank you for your help to date!

    I have the usb sending commands to my plc

    My new problem it’s the wrong ones on windows the scada send out 64 04 70 07 00 16 D3 30 this works
    On pi it’s 64 04 B0 10 90 71 07 FE for some reason it’s changed I have checked the scadacomm config files and they appear to be the same what’s your thoughts

    It is listed on the list as /dev/ttyUSB0

    According to the logs com1 to com9 all had the same
    Error

    Error opening serial port no such file or directory

    Ok the transferring of the files worked my next problem
    I have lost connection to my device (rs232) I am useing a usb to rs232 converter the rpi says it’s device ttyUSB0 what am I doing wrong?
