DB Import Plus was the best way to go. It has an option to select column or row. When I selected row all be query tags was displayed in rows in communicator.

How did you get to show multiple rows in communicator. Mine is also just showing one row and my sql has multiple.

I can not get DB Import Plus to connect to my database. I copied the files for version 5 to the scada directory. Made sure all .dll’s is unlocked. Rebooted. I could see the driver but nott use it. I added it manually. Now I can use it but its not connecting.

The builtin DB import is giving me some trouble aswell.

I have 2 rows of data in this example.

However, the communicator is only giving me one row off data. see below

Even if I select the row count manually to 2. I get the correct row plus one empty row.

The tags I want to get is separated like “tag1″,”tag2”
I used a query builder to get the correct syntax. The query works 100% in sql manager query.

This post https://forum.rapidscada.org/?topic=connect-to-microsoft-sql had the same issue but never explained how he resolved it.

Could be advise me on how to get the 2 values I require?

I am not sure about the plus. Device is DB import
O i see now. I am using the build in one. KpDbImport.dll.

What is the difference between the built in one and the plus?

Excellent, just found the database import update. Been using 5.5.1. Using kepserver to create opc server then rapid scada to get values from plc’s hourly.
Now I can use our historian server and get the same values without the hassle of kepserver.

I am still using rapid scada. But I moved all components onto a single server machine back in 2018. I cant even remember what I did, had no notes. Just tried a bunch of stuff and then it came alive.
Its not that easy to get it to work the first time you try it. I will try to setup a test bench and grab some screen dumps of settings, kind of like a tutorial.
Its about time I update my instance of rapid scada aswell

    rsepulve,
I am not currently at home to get the information you require. I will only return home mid next week.
I will then take screendumps of my settings and post them.

I got it working. I was trying to create different channel on the administrator app.
It should have been the exact same as the remote settings and channel numbers.
I happy now. Loving this software every week more and more.

I found it. I used this modbus slave labrary here.

It was a bit difficult to set it up first because I was used to mgsmodbus.

Update: I can confirm that the Nano v3, and the Uno aswell as the Nano loaded with optiboot can work with Rapid scada via modbus RTU.
I can not remember where I downloaded the modbus slave library.
I suppose any modbus slave library should work.
I will try to locate it in github.
    MGSmodbus does not support rtu.

Rapid scada works Allen bradley PLC.
Use rslinx oem on the same machine as Rapid scada, or use rslinx gateway if rapid scada is on deffirent computer.
Kepserverex with Controllogix driver also works.
The tag name inside the opc server would be the same as the tag name inside the plc.

I have success using kepserverex with rapid scada.

Are you running a modbus simulator on the same computer?
Have you tried stopping line 1.
Line 1 and Line 8 are both using same database and settings.
    Might be conflicting.
I do not know much, only just stared using Rapid scada with my modbus devices this week.

I have used it with arduino mega and uno using w5100 ethernet shield.
I have not tested it with nano.
