Well, thanks to your question, I guess I have found the problem

I have added a channel number to signal 16 ‘localhost.t primario’ (it was empty), which is linked to alarms generated from OPC server and that tag. Now I have something.

So, can you confirm I have to have two channels for each tag? One for value and other for alarm/events?

Is there any way to take straighfoward event/alarm messages from OPC AE?

Yes, If I use the ‘command’ feature in Communicator and try to send a simple ‘ º ‘ character both in subject and content fields, the mail is corrupted.

Events from OPC server aren not shown in .dat files neither.

OK, the problem is the ‘º’ character. If I remove it the message is good.

Mikhail, If I use the event generation from server I get the emails corrupted when I set ‘Alarm High: 111.1ºC’ in the ‘Description’ field, but I get it OK if I set that field to ‘Alarm High: 111’ (removing .1ºC)

No, events directly from OPC server are not showed in Webstation (only events generated by RapidScada are).

    Hi, now I have this:

    ‘‘2018-01-31 16:45:47 Device 21. Handle new events
Device 21. Process event. Name: localhost.High temperature tank’

But Device 41 ‘Email sender’ doesn`t get the trigger signal to send email.

I have added “localhost.High temperature tank” to a ‘data reading group’ folder in SCADA-Communicator and I can see the events coming in ‘Device data’ info window, but the Automatic Control Module only triggers emails for events generated by itself (and works fine 10 min), but it doesnt work for events coming directly from OPC server (or at least I dont know how to trigger that). The ‘Email’ device doesnt trigger anything as I can see that in the log window.

    Hi,

{EvText} contains the event description; should be: ‘Alarm High: 111.1ºC’.

If I include {EvText} in subject of the messages, all the text in the subject is corrupted too.

I can reproduce it, as it only fails with the alarms/events coming from OMROM PLC

Hi, I have added the corresponding signals in data folder in Device 21 ‘OPC Demo’, and now I can see the events coming from the Fernhill OPC server in Device Data window (SCADA Configurator).

Then, how can I link this events/alarms to the Email sender?

    Thanks in advance.

    Edit: still having this:
    ‘2018-01-31 16:45:47 Device 21. Handle new events
Device 21. Unknow event soruce. Name: localhost.Sample Structured Text Program’

More info I can add here:

    The corrupt email has

    Content-Type:text/plain;charset=utf-8
    Content-Transfer-Encoding:base64

    The correct mail has:

    Content-Type:text/plain;charset=us-ascii
    Content-Transfer-Encoding:quoted-printable

The first one comes from a OMROM PLC, and the second one comes from a SIEMENS PLC, but both come from an OPC server through OPC Demo device.

    SCADA-Server version 5.1.0.2

I have reset all and now it seems to work again. What I had before was many “normal” events on the same channel, but one after another (not just once recovered the ‘normal’ status).
