November 5, 2015 at 11:09 am #656MikhailModeratorYou can install SCADA-Communicator on the PC where OPC server is installed.
November 5, 2015 at 11:17 am #657mails2saurabhParticipantHow will scada server / scada web will communicate to scada communicator service on network??
November 5, 2015 at 11:26 am #658MikhailModeratorJust set server IP address or host name in Common Parameters tab in SCADA-Communicator. They communicate via TCP.
November 5, 2015 at 12:19 pm #659mails2saurabhParticipantOk,I will come back after checking ?
November 25, 2015 at 2:54 pm #745mails2saurabhParticipantAs suggested, I installed scada communicator on the opc server, I am not able to browse the opc server. I changed ip address,in the common parameters in the server option. But I am getting following error when importing communication lines.
“error connecting to scada server: A connection attempt failed because the connects party did not respond after a period of time, or a established connection failed because connected host failed to respond 172.16.0.3:10000.”Please suggest.
November 25, 2015 at 3:31 pm #746MikhailModeratorBrowse OPC Server via UI of SCADA-Communicator doesn’t depends on connection with SCADA-Server. What error message appears?
You have to allow incoming TCP connection through 10000 port on a firewall on a PC where SCADA-Server installed.November 26, 2015 at 11:45 am #749mails2saurabhParticipantThanks, I am able to open the web interface on the network, but I am not able to login using user: admin , password: 12345.

November 26, 2015 at 1:02 pm #753mails2saurabhParticipantError code on,ScadaServerSvc
Error start communication with, client: An attempt was made to access socket in a way forbidden by its access permission. This error started, after I made changes to , user name password and port no., changed to 80, made all usernames: admin on the interface.
Suggest!! What needs to be corrected??
November 26, 2015 at 2:50 pm #754MikhailModeratorSCADA-Web connects to SCADA-Server using TCP port 10000. Check the connection settings with SCADA-Web Configurator utility.
Port 80 is used by IIS. I should not use it for other purposes.November 26, 2015 at 3:03 pm #756mails2saurabhParticipantBut using port 10000, I was not able to connect to scada server,on a network machine using internet explorer. Using port 80 , I could connect, any how , I will check this to open on local host first !!
November 27, 2015 at 12:43 pm #763MikhailModeratorDid you tried opening port 10000 on a firewall?
Port 80 is busy that is why you cant use it for SCADA-Server. -
