Is it possible to extract the data from the DAT files into a csv or txt style format using RapidSCADA itself or another tool? I am not having any luck in finding some sort of tool that can read the data found in the .dat files for current, minute, and hourly data and RapidSCADA itself doesn’t have some sort of save to txt/csv funtion in the Server manager. Any help with this endeavor would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

DAT format is used for the configuration database, measured data (snapshots) and events. These are 3 different formats with the same file extension.

The existing utility able to convert snapshots to CSV. I can share the link to it.
One good guy gianguido is now working on other types of data.

I’ll give the CLI tool a shot and report back, it sounds like what I am looking for. Thank you for the quick and informative response.

    Hi Mikhail,

I new to RapidSCADA and i would like to know if this command line utility for export of snapshot to csv is available for download.

The link posted on #2494 seems to have expired.

I am using the latest version of RapidSCADA on OS: Windows 7 Professional SP1/64 bit

    Hi,
Export *.dat to CSV is available in the Administrator app now. Open an archive data file and find the Export to CSV button.
